This 1 month immersion is a traditional Ashram experience, offering a unique approach to living and learning only available in the Rocklyn Yoga Ashram Victoria, under the teaching of Swami Atmamuktananda.

Ashram Sannyasa Lifestyle is a system or technique of living and learning that leads to enhanced physical, mental, emotional and spiritual understanding. It makes you more aware of how to deal with the different aspects of yourself, to connect with positivity and harmonize the expressions and experiences of one’s innate nature.
The common offering of yoga nowadays is limited merely to asana (physical postures), and perhaps a desire for stress management. Have the general yoga practices adopted so far given deep insight to really fulfil the needs in life, addressing actions and reactions and the general stressors of life with equanimity - balance of mind or inner peace? Or is there something more to yoga and yogic lifestyle? What are the true intentions and attainments of yoga?

A very important aspect of yoga known as the Yama and Niyama has been overlooked. It is the application and integration of the Yama and Niyama in life that has been ignored and misunderstood as a discipline to fulfil the completeness of yoga. This yogic knowledge is responsible for change.

The course is supported by the text “Yoga Chakra 2: Cultivating Spiritual Samskara”, developing the yama of manahprasad (happiness as a natural expression and ongoing mood of the mind) and niyama japa (mantra repetition, or disconnection from the negative and disturbing influences in life). There will be a focus on swadhyaya: self-observation – self-correction – self-improvement – become your best.

Full commitment to the month-long training – no refunds for early departures
No use of mobile phones for the duration of your stay
No use of laptops (an ashram PC is available for necessary contact, by request)
No leaving the ashram for 1 month (only by application)
